04.03.2019 Statista expands its expert tools to include 150 countries

Hamburg, 04.03.2019 – As of today, the Statista Digital Market Outlook covers 100 additional countries and regions; the Consumer Market Outlook will follow suit at the end of the month. This also brings along a new set-up of the country navigation in all expert tools.

As of now, the Digital Market Outlook covers 150 countries and regions. In other words, the expert tool, which provides current market figures and forecasts on the digital economy, has tripled in content.

In order to adequately model the countries, a new calculation logic as well as a new country cluster have been implemented: The data concerning core countries are based on a detailed analysis and exclusive primary research by Statista. Data on non-core countries are based on algorithmic calculations without detailed analysis.

Along with the increase in the number of countries, the regions have also been categorized in a different way, and new regions have been added. The Dominican Republic, for example, is listed in the new region "Caribbean". In order to display the total of 150 countries and 24 regions and subregions in the expert tools, the country navigation has been completely restructured. There is also a new search function within the navigation, which helps to quickly access data on new countries like Ukraine, Iraq or Nigeria.

As of today, Statista provides information like key figures on eCommerce in New Zealand, the smart home business in Columbia or eServices in Morocco.

At the end of March, the country and region expansion will also be available for the Consumer Market Outlook.
