In 2017, approximately almost fifteen thousand men and over 7.8 thousand women per 100,000 population the United Kingdom suffered from liver cirrhosis or another chronic liver disease due to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. The prevalence was significantly higher among males across the provided time interval, although both genders have experienced a general increase in alcohol related cirrhosis since the year 2000.
