According to the results of a survey conducted in 2019, some 51 percent of Italians admitted they would not be happy if companies shared their customers' financial data in accordance to the European Union’s new Payments Services Directive (PSD2), which sets a legal groundwork for the sharing of financial data. Only about 35 percent of the respondents said that they would agree with it.
