Interest level in sports documentaries worldwide in 2022, by age
Following the success of sports documentaries such as The Last Dance, which documented the career of Michael Jordan at the Chicago Bulls, a new market has emerged for behind-the-scenes access to some of the world's most recognizable athletes and teams. During a 2022 global survey, around 41 percent of respondents aged 25 to 34 stated that they were interested in lifestyle-focused sports content. This figure fell to just 16 percent among sports fans aged 55 or older.
