Stimulation at home in early childhood education in Nigeria 2020
Between 2012 and 2020, some 63 percent of children in Nigeria spent time with an adult in activities to promote learning and school readiness in the previous three days of the survey. Specifically, the surveys asked about activities such as reading books to the child, telling stories, singing songs, taking the child outside the home, playing, and spending time with the child as they name, counts, or draws things. Furthermore, about half of the children had some playthings at home, including household objects or objects found outside (sticks, rocks, animals, shells, leaves etc.), or toys.
