Urban population with access to drinking water in East Africa 2017
As of 2017, nine in ten people living in urban areas of Burundi had access to drinking water. In comparison to its neighbors in East Africa, the country had the highest proportion of urban population with safe water services (90 percent). In contrast, the lowest rate was observed in South Sudan, at 65 percent.
