Monthly value of exports from Air ports in Egypt 2019-2020
As of July 2020, monthly exports leaving Egypt through air ports amounted to around 629.4 million U.S. dollars, this represented a dip of roughly 2.85 percent from the previous month. Moreover, between the period under review, the value of exports leaving Egypt via air ranged between close to 332.3 million U.S. dollars in March 2020 and 647.9 million U.S. dollars in June 2020. Furthermore, air ports accounted for between approximately 14.8 and 32.2 percent of the total exports in March and April 2020, respectively. The drop in exports through air ports in March 2020 can possibly be linked to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and how it interrupted air travels during the first wave lockdowns.
