Moreover, while the total annual net wage bills reached slightly over 41 billion MAD (roughly 4.6 billion U.S. dollars), that of the basic salary amounted to nearly 13.3 billion MAD (roughly 4.6 billion U.S. dollars). The public sector wage bill is the total wages of employees of the government, excluding employers' contributions.
