Annual costs for current and all needs met pregnancy and newborn care in LMICs 2019
In 2019, around 8.6 billion U.S. dollars were spent on pregnancy deliveries and postnatal care in low- and middle-income countries. It is estimated that annual costs would need to increase to 12.6 billion U.S. dollars if all pregnancy deliveries and postnatal care needs for women in low- and middle-income countries were met.
