Leading social media usage reasons in Brazil 2023

A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2023 found that around 60 percent of internet users in Brazil used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Reading news stories was the second main reason for using social media for about 52.7 percent of the respondents. Finding products to purchase and filling spare time were important reasons for 43.2 and 42.4 percent of social media users, respectively.
