Construction time for nuclear units completed worldwide 2013-2022
The worldwide mean time from start of construction to grid connection was approximately 10 years for nuclear power reactors completed over the decade 2013-2022. In most of the countries, at least one year of delay was experienced with respect to the scheduled startup date.
The construction time for new reactors completed in 2022 ranged between 120 and 70 months, with a median construction time of seven years.
