Freedom of expression score in Liberia 2000-2022
Liberia scored 70 points in the Global Expression Report (GxR) in 2022. This was the same as the previous year and one point higher compared to 2020. Over the observed period, freedom of speech and the openness of the society in the country received its highest score between 2008 and 2010 at 78, while the lowest score was in 2002 at 31 points. GxR ranks countries based on the openness of the society, with a higher score being given to countries with more freedom of expression.
