Total GWCL water billing in Ghana 2021-2027, by customer group
In 2021, the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) billed over one billion Ghanaian cedis (GHS), nearly 85 million U.S. dollars, for water supplied to private customers. On the other hand, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) were billed a total of about 151.5 million GHS (just over 12 million U.S. dollars). Overall, by 2027, the total billings for water supply to private and public customers are projected to increase to 2.2 billion GHS and 326 million GHS (about 176 million U.S. dollars and 26 million U.S. dollars), respectively.
