Number of 3 to 21 year olds with visual impairments U.S. 1990-2022
In the academic year 2021/22, there were approximately 25,000 people aged 3- to 21-years-old with visual impairments in the United States who were covered by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This figure is a slight decrease from the previous year, when 26,000 individuals with visual impairments were covered by IDEA.
