This statistic shows the results of a survey among high school graduates regarding the purpose of their current job in the United States in 2012. As of 2012, 40 percent of the high school graduates enrolled in college chose their current job as a way to save some money for school, wheras the majority of high school students not enrolled in college (50 percent) chose their job in order to pay their bills.
