This statistic displays the age-adjusted mortality rate for stroke among adults aged 45 and older in the United States from 2010 to 2013, by urbanization level of their place of residence. During this period, the stroke mortality rate reached some 106.5 deaths per 100,000 population among those living in medium-sized metropolitan areas. Stroke mortality has decreased continuously over the last decades.
