Coastal cargo handled in India FY 2022, by major port
In fiscal year 2022, the volume of coastal cargo handled at the Paradip port, in the Indian state of Odisha, was over 42 million metric tons. The total coastal cargo was close to 171 million metric tons. About 70 percent of trade by value and 95 percent by volume across the south Asian country was done through maritime transport.
