Young adults objecting to the consumption of beef in Indian states 2016
This statistic displays the results of a youth survey conducted among 15-34 year olds across 19 states across India in 2016 about their objection to beef consumption, broken down by state. A majority of respondents in the northern state of Haryana, with about 77 percent, believed that the consumption of beef was not a personal choice and should be objected to. This share was only about eight percent in the northern state of Kerala during the survey period.
