This statistic shows the share of Canadian organizations who were victims of selected types of fraud and/or economic crime as a result of a cyber-attack as of 2017. The findings show that 23 percent of responding organizations were victims of extortion, whilst four percent reported that they had been victims of intellectual property theft as a result of a cyber-attack.
