Healthcare industry in Thailand
  As the Thai government pushes the Thailand 4.0 policy, the healthcare industry is one of the most prioritized sectors in Thailand for further development, promotion, and investment. The health and social work sectors play a significant role in the prosperity of the Thai economy. In 2021, they contributed approximately 409.6 billion Thai baht to the GDP in Thailand. In 2019, the expenditure of the health sector accounted for 3.8 percent of the GDP in Thailand.
Medical care and support in Thailand
  With rapidly increasing domestic and international demand for healthcare, Thailand has learned to improve and enhance its medical care and support to satisfy potential clients. In 2021, Thailand’s medical industry had around 38.8 thousand doctors all over the country. Furthermore, 60 percent of pharmaceutical products were supplied via public hospitals in Thailand and the rest were distributed through private hospitals and as over-the-counter medicine in 2021.
