A global production network
Hyundai Motors accounted for nearly half of the South Korean automobile market; this share would increase if its subsidiary company Kia Motors was to be considered. The company's fleet highlights that it is far from a one trick pony. In fact, the leading models sold in the domestic market showed healthy sales across a variety of vehicle segments.Keeping in line with the international nature of the company, Hyundai Motors had production facilities around the globe. From the leading countries in terms of car production worldwide, four of the featured nations had a Hyundai Motor manufacturing facility within its borders. Such plants also produce model variants tailored for the local markets. A U.S.-based quality study’s results show that Hyundai vehicles are considered reliable when compared to its competitors.
