Share of informal employment in Angola 2022, by gender and area
Roughly nine million people were under informal employment in Angola in the first quarter of 2022. This corresponded to 80.5 percent of the country's labor force. Informal employment was more prevalent in rural areas, with a share of 95.6 percent, against 66 percent in urban areas. Additionally, the percentage of women in informal employment was higher than that of men.
